About Us

Tapestry Homes is a Christ-centered non-profit organization that is focused on helping to solve the global housing crisis by “improving the living conditions of those in need living in third-world urban slums.” Its Tapestry Orphan Homes provide durable, fireproof, weatherproof and aesthetically-pleasing homes to the forgotten children—those that have lost their parents to the ravages of AIDS and are in need of a safe and loving place to call home.

Tapestry Homes was founded as an extension of HopeBuilders, a local sector outreach ministry based in Southern California. With the assistance of numerous volunteers and charitable resources, local underprivileged families living in deteriorated housing conditions receive a complete housing renovation. Their homes and lives are transformed in one spiritually-charged week. Similar to the popular TV show, "Extreme Makeover, Home Edition", HopeBuilders extends the gift of hope to these families in need by dramatically improving their living conditions in the name of Christ.
